Thank you so much for taking the time to read this.
I am so happy for the chance to be able to introduce you to one who can give you healing for pain, forgiveness for sin, and can provide you with a life that is new and abundant.
Someone might think that this is all impossible, and it would be if we were just talking about a normal person, but Jesus Christ is much more than that.
In John 14:6 Jesus said: "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father but by me."
When Jesus spoke of his Father, he was speaking of God as his Father and was laying the foundation for how he CAN save us and give us eternal life in heaven.
Jesus in this verse laid claim to be the only way to get to God his Father.
Many people seem to think that they will get to heaven because they believe in God, but the bible says in James 2:19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.
The devils believe in God, but their "faith" does not change their life or their destiny.
The Bible records of many people who will stand at the last day before God as their judge, thinking they knew Jesus when in fact they were deceived.
The Scripture says in Matthew 7:22-23 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? (23) And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
To know Jesus Christ as your personal saviour is to have more than a faith in God. A person must first understand that they need saving, that they need a new life and that Jesus only can save them.
Romans 3:10 "As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:"
Romans 3:23 "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;"
You cannot be a good enough person to earn your position in heaven. Many people think that since they never have committed the "BIG" sins or because they are pretty good people, that God will allow them in to heaven when they die.
But no matter how good a person is by our judgement, getting to God is based on our faith and not on our goodness.
Ephesians 2:8-9 "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast."
Salvation or going to heaven, is being saved from the power of sin, and sin's power is death and hell.
Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Romans 5:12 "Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:"
The faith that saves a person and that justifies them before God comes from understanding that they have sinned and are sinners and that they are willing to do something about that sin.
1 John 1:10 "If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us."
Jesus came to give us forgiveness for sin and to go between us and God. The Bible says that Jesus is our mediator between God and us.
Romans 5:8 "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners. Christ died for us."
1 Peter 3:18 "For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:"
1 Timothy 2:5 "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;"
The way to accept Jesus Christ as your personal saviour then is to realize you are a sinner, acknowledge that Jesus is the Son of God, that he was born, that he died, and then rose again from the grave.
You must then repent of your sins which is another way of saying you are willing to turn from your sins.
Jesus said in Luke 13:5 "I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish."
Acts 17:30 "And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:"
If you are willing to do this, through prayer, invite Jesus into your life to become your personal Saviour.
Rom 10:9-10" That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. (10) For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
and finally in Rom 10:13"For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."
Would you pray this simple prayer and mean it in your heart?
John 1:12 "But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:"
2 Corinthians 5:17 "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new." If you have prayed this prayer and trusted in Christ as your personal saviour, I would love to know. Would you kindly send me an E-mail telling me so?
